A Singapore-based venture firm was struggling to keep portfolio reporting accurate and timely as it scaled. We built a custom internal platform that centralised data, reduced operational risk, and gave partners real-time visibility.

Problem

Arclight Capital managed several funds across regions, but portfolio information was scattered across spreadsheets, email threads, and third-party tools. Each reporting cycle became an exercise in reconciliation rather than analysis. Analysts spent days chasing numbers, fixing inconsistencies, and validating figures that should have been reliable by default.

As the firm grew, these inefficiencies started to compound. Partners lacked a clear, up-to-date view of portfolio performance when making decisions. Reporting delays created pressure during investor updates, and the risk of errors increased with every new fund added to the mix. What had once worked at a smaller scale was now actively slowing the firm down.

Solution

We designed and built a custom software platform around how Arclight actually operated. Instead of forcing new workflows, we integrated existing data sources and standardised them into a single system of record. Portfolio data flowed automatically into the platform, where validation rules caught issues before they reached reports.

Role-based dashboards gave partners immediate insight into fund and portfolio performance, while analysts could focus on interpretation instead of data cleanup. Reporting outputs were structured to be audit-ready without additional manual work. The system was delivered in phases to avoid disruption, with clear documentation so the internal team could operate and extend it confidently as new funds launched.
